Kindergarten graduation

I have to admit, I was a little annoyed that Kindergarten graduation had to be this big deal in the high school auditorium with the whole cap and gown routine and all. But when I actually went, it was the cutest thing ever!! I am so proud of Calvin and everything he has accomplished this year. He totally deserved to stand up there in his cap and gown and be made a big deal! The last picture is Cash and our friend Madison camping last weekend. It has nothing to do with Kindergarten graduation, but I had to put it in anyway cuz it's so cute!

Kid History

I don't know if you have ever heard of them, but there are these videos on You-Tube called Kid History. Its basically grown men acting out these stories while little kids tell the story. My sister and I think they are hilarious! Anyway, they came to Rexburg to do a premier for Episode 9. Jolee and I took Marijke and the boys for some VERY late night fun. We even got to meet the cast!

New "farm" additions!

We have two new additions to our little "farm". One is a fat little puppy that we got a few weeks ago. He is so fun, but reminds me every day why I can't wait till we're past the puppy stage!! We named him Ralphy. Cashy fell asleep on the back porch with him the other day. It was seriously the cutest thing!! Our other addition is a fat little black bunny that has just started hanging around. He doesn't get too close, but he comes out every evening. I'm not sure where he came from, but we'll let him stay!

Easter 2012

Wow! I cannot believe how long it has been since I've blogged. We have survived our first (very mild) Ashton winter and are enjoying the early spring! I guess I have some catching up to do so here ya go: For Easter we did the usual with the Easter egg hunts and egg dying etc. But the kids got a fun surprise this year when the Easter bunny brought ducklings!! They came running up the stairs Easter morning to hear their little blue, yellow and pink glittery boxes inside their Easter baskets chirping like crazy! They were a little weirded out at first, but soon decided it was pretty cool. Aly LOVED hers and couldn't get enough of it. She kept saying "awe, CUTE!".
I love, love, love Easter. As usual this time of year I want to express just how grateful I am for Jesus Christ and his sacrifice for me! I am extremely humbled by the Atonement and resurrection. I love my savior. I cannot wait until the day I get to meet him face to face and express my sincere love for him in person. His love for all of us amazes me. I am grateful that I chose to follow his plan and come to this earth and live this life! I am so blessed.

What else but dirtbike logos/colors on the easter eggs!

Winter time fun

We just had to break out the dirtbikes, even though there was snow everywhere! Cash has finally gotten the hang of riding and now he can't get enough! It's pretty fun watching he and Calvin crusing around together. Snow princess!

Christmas

Ashton has the funnest thing at Christmas they call "The Spirit of Christmas". It's at the community center and there are vendors who come and you can do your Christmas shopping, take a hay ride, see entertainment, and sit with Santa. We had so much fun! The boys got to be in a little nativity for part of the program. Cash with Santa!

Calvin with Santa!

Santa came in on a fire truck, sirens blaring and everything!! If you've ever seen "Elf", when buddy is at Gimbles and they announce that Santa is coming, well, that was totally Cash when he saw Santa ride in on the fire truck! He was SO excited!!

On the hay ride.

Halloween 2012

As you can see for Halloween Cash was spiderman, Calvin was superman, and Aly was little red riding hood. At Calvin's school he got to wear his costume and have a little party. Later that day we took the kids into town for the community trick or treat party. We went to Boise for Calvin's birthday the weekend before Halloween so we were a little burned out and didn't do much.
