Weekend Getaway...

We went to Utah this weekend for my cousin, Molly's mission farewell. Her sister, Rachel, was also blessing her new baby, so we figured it was worth the trip. We decided to stay in a hotel instead of with family, so that it might feel more like a little vacation. Well it was NO vacation let me tell you. It was horrible. We were lost half the time thanks to Map Quest's wonderful directions, none of us got any sleep thanks to kids, the roads on the way home were TERRIBLE!! Not to mention we were starving by the time we got down there on Saturday and I told my family they couldn't eat cuz there would be food at Molly's open house. Well we got there and it was cookies and brownies as far as the eye could see! No real food. My hubby was not happy that I made him starve for that. We grabbed a pizza on the way to my parents hotel, where we had a little swim. I'm glad Calvin at least got to do that. I'm sure Molly gave a great talk in church, but I really wouldn't know cuz I spent the entire time in the hallway with my ornery baby who didn't get any sleep!
On a bit lighter note: Our hotel was pretty nice for only $35. It even had a cool little kitchen. We did have a good time swimming at Gabby n Yanni's motel, even though we argued the whole way there cuz we were lost, again. Moana, you did such a great job on everything for the open house and breakfast after church was YUMMY! Molly, we are so excited for you. You will be a GREAT missionary! Rachel, your little Camden is adorable, and Christian gave such a sweet, special blessing. We really love our family, but will probably think twice about traveling when we know the weather is going to be bad!!
