Easter

Easter was so fun this year. Calvin was old enough now to really get into it. On Saturday we went to an Easter egg hunt at our church. The boys didn't get a lot of eggs, but they had fun. Then that night we decorated Easter eggs. This is the first year we've done that. They made a huge mess, of course, but it was worth it, Calvin loved it! Saturday night we had Calvin put out his Easter basket and he could hardly wait to get to bed so the Easter Bunny could come. First thing Sunday morning he asked if the Easter Bunny had come. He was very excited to see that it did. He and Cash both got new piggy banks, a movie, a puzzle, and some little bath time fizzy eggs. I love when they are this age because the cheapest crap is so cool to them. And of course they got loads of candy. We went to church in our ward, then again to our friends Zach and Mindy's church for their new baby's blessing. We had plenty of time to show off our new Easter outfits. I love Easter! Not just because of the fun commercialized things, but also because of the chance it gives me to reflect on the Resurrection of our savior. I love the feeling of Easter Sunday. There is such a humbling peaceful calm that settles in my heart. I love my savior Jesus Christ, and I am so grateful for the sacrifice he made for me, and his ever-present spirit in my life.
