Our 5th Anniversary

Jake and I's 5th anniversary was in September, so I decided to take Jake to the Patriots/Broncos game in Denver on October 11th! We dropped the kids at my parent's house on the way out of town and headed east. To keep things exciting we stayed the first night in Steamboat Sprgs. Colorado. It is the neatest little ski town. We stayed in an old, but very nice hotel right down town. It was so easy because we just walked everywhere. The next day we bumbed around Steamboat, then drove 3hrs to Denver that night. We stayed in the Ramada Inn, which wasn't very nice, but it was close to the stadium. Sunday morning we got up and did a little shopping in Denver before going to the game around one. The football game was so exciting! I am not a football fan, but it was very high energy. It was a close game, but after it went into overtime the Patriots lost :(. We hung our heads as we walked back to our hotel, in the meantime being jeered at by every Broncos fan along the way. The next morning we couldn't get out of there fast enough, and after being stuck on the freeway for an hour because of bad weather, we were well on our way. We were SO excited to see the kids again and happy to get home!
